Did I have God Intentions
a few short days ago . . .
when my neighbor was in need
I turned away to go ? ~

The Holy Spirit spoke to me
with kindness in His tone . . .
"Will you not open up your heart
to one so all alone?" ~

"Don't ask me to, O Lord, I said,
she's just not my cup of tea" . . .
Forgotten quickly were the times
this neighbor prayed for me . . .

"O, Lord, why must you remind me
'twas she came to my aid . . .
when I was feeling SO alone
my heart broken and afraid" ~

I heard The Spirit answer clear,
"'tis to me the deed you'll do . . .
just look beyond each fault you see
as I always do with you" ~

He bathed me in HIS presence
through motives ~ creeds ~ conventions . . .
pruned my heart of extra baggage,
replacing with just GOD INTENTIONS:-)
