The jury heard the evidence,
my sins past in review;
commandments I had broken
were surely not a few.

Sobs stuck in my throat,
as Judge Self~Righteous' gavel fell;
his stern demeanor told the story,
"Her sentence shall be Hell"!

Out of nowhere came a Voice,
like the sound of love and peace;
the guards upon on their knees fell,
I felt my bonds release.

"Every sin she's guilty of,
my blood has paid the debt;
into the Sea of Forgetfulness cast,
far as East is from the West"!

"Each burden she has carried,
was slain 'pon Calvary's tree;
hell shall never see this child,
she mine Eternally"!

Feelings unexplainable
Jesus read upon my face;
drawing me beneath His arm,
His heart beat Amazing Grace!

Tears flowed as a river,
that I'd been set free of blame;
judge and jury found me guilty,
then MERCY CRIED RECLAIM!
