LIGHT that darkness cannot dim,
SHINE for all to see;
JESUS CHRIST, LIGHT of all the
world,
SHINE,O HOLY LIGHT, through me ~
LAMP unto my feet, Lord, SHINE
upon right paths to take;
that others who are following
will not a misstep make ~
SHINE upon my heart, O LIGHT,
wrong motives to reveal;
Oh, I dare not lead others, Lord,
and sinfulness conceal ~
I hear them weeping now, sweet
Lord,
their hearts are broken sore;
SHINE, O HOLY LIGHT, beam out,
that they may reach the shore ~
Heal, restore and dry their tears,
one touch from your LIGHT brings;
refreshing, newness to our our
lives,
'til every new heart sings ~
SHINE, O HOLY LIGHT, Divine,
'til all spirits are reborn;
Gloriously to give you praise,
this Resurrection morn !
