How oft would I have
given up . . .
How oft said.
"I am through";
Had I not known God's
wondrous Word . . .
What faithful prayer
can do!

How oft would I been
so discouraged . . .
'Cause of suffering
and pain;
But then I'd hear my
Saviour say . . .
"My child, I'm here," again!

So e'en when the
battle's raging . . .
Oh, when "give up" would
be my cry . . .
My Great Physician's
voice repeats . . .
"Press on, my child, I'm with
you still;
Believe not satan's
L I E!!!"

"Cast every care and
heavy burden . . .
Upon me, child, O do;
I am your STRENGTH,
I am your LIGHT,
I AM THE LIFE IN YOU!!!
